LCHS welcomes parents to another school year
English teacher April Kelly leads parents in a creative writing activity during Back to School Night.
Parents stepped into their child's shoes during Back to School Night on Sept. 5. With daily schedule in hand, they traveled from classroom to classroom to meet with their child's teachers for 10-minute periods. Some teachers even asked attendees to participate in activities, such as a writing activity or science experiment.
Members of the Guidance Department sat down with anyone interested in learning how to use the PASS system, which allows families to keep up with their students' academic progress.
The Booster Club had a brief meeting prior to the event, offering parents information about its purpose and encouraging them to consider becoming a member. The club also sold spirit wear in the Commons.
